As you can see, I have switched my blog over to its new URL and layout on WordPress! I still have a few tweaks and modifications to make, and I need to figure out exactly what I want to do with the sidebar, but I’m pretty pleased with how the blog is coming along….
I used the main body from the layout I referenced before (I love the crinkled paper graphics and the little date flags), but I switched out the background with images from this WordPress theme. Other than that, I left things pretty much as is except for Photoshopping the title block. I’d like to do some further customization of the sidebar, but that may be beyond my CSS skills. And I’m still trying to figure out all the widgets. If you see any issues, let me know. I know it isn’t rendering correctly in IE6 but I’m not sure what to do about that.
I’ll be making modifications as time allows, but I figured if I didn’t go ahead and switch everything over now, I’d be making endless changes. And I have other topics rolling around in my head that I want to start posting, so I needed to get moving on it. Hopefully I’ll be able to post and make some more adjustments in the next few days; if not, it’ll have to wait until Ryan and I get back from Colorado. We’ll be spending a week camping in Estes Park, rock climbing, hanging out in Boulder, and visiting some friends. It’s going to be a welcome break for both of us!

This looks great, Karen. And congratulations on your first year anniversary of blogging. I think I was the first person to comment back when you were starting.
Have fun camping in Estes. I love it there and also Boulder, especially Pearl Street and the Tea House. Be careful clamoring over the rocks.
